Privacy policy
Last updated: 1 July 2026. This policy explains what information TenancyTools.uk (“we”, “the site”) does and does not collect, and the choices you have.
Calculator inputs
Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The dates and details you enter are processed on your device and are never transmitted to us or to any third party, never stored, and never logged. Closing the page discards them.
Information we collect
We do not require accounts, sign-ups or personal details to use the site. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps) for security and operational purposes, as virtually all websites do. If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to send and use it only to respond.
Advertising
The site is funded by display advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, which may include personalised ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Key points:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google’s My Ad Centre, and learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.com.
Where required, visitors in the UK and EEA are shown a consent message before advertising cookies are set, and can change their choice at any time.
Analytics
We may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand which pages are useful (such as page views and referral sources) so we can improve the site. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify individuals.
Cookies
The site itself does not set cookies for its calculators or content to function. Cookies on this site come from advertising and consent management as described above. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the calculators will continue to work with cookies disabled.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights over personal data held about you, including access, correction and erasure. Because we hold essentially no personal data about visitors, in most cases there is nothing for us to act on – but if you believe we hold personal data about you, contact us and we will respond. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated. Questions about this policy can be sent via the contact page.
